PSYCHOLOGY PRACTICE

I am a general psychologist with a private practice located at 86 Vincent street Daylesford, VIC. My educational background is that I have a Bachelor of Behavioural Science Honours (BBSc (Hons)) and a Ph.D. in neuroscience and biochemistry focussing on neurodegeneration in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

 

My therapeutic training includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques as well as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and trauma-focussed interventions. I have extensive experience providing therapeutic counselling in the community health and forensic service systems. My specialisation in regards to therapy is depression and anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues as well as interventions that aid in recovery from trauma.

 

I also have an interest in the history of philosophy, existential therapies and Jungian psychoanalytic theory.
